I know nothing about a SW mod 10,,, but I own a sigma and I think it is a fine paper weight.
It's around here somewhere (covered in dust probably).
Seriously, keep the SW 10.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mK2JYfZAmA When will America become America?

Depending upon the condition of the model 10, it will most likely be worth more monetarily on the used market. There are many many variations of the model 10, and those differences matter. However, a cheap model 10 will run about 300-350 USD. Sigmas rarely sell for more than 250 used.

Re: would you trade a sw model 10 for a sw9ve
i have a sigma 40ve, i have nothing to compare it to as its my first handgun, but the trigger pull is crazy heavy, i believe something like 8-10 pounds. Theres a modification you can do by removing an extra spring that will bring it down to around 4-5 pounds. Ive done it and it runs just fine. The triggers also kind of "gritty" feeling, which can be fixed with some polishing. The trigger seems to be the biggest complaint ive seen from people online, and with removing the spring and some polishing of parts you can make it a lot better.
I bought mine used and have since put around 300 rounds through with no issues.
