Transferring estate firearms to son in New York.
Has anyone had any experience with transferring handguns to heirs in New York?
Can any recommend a good firearms attorney in the Binghamton area?
Thanks!The older I get,the better I used to be !!

I have no direct experience, but NY's laws will require your son to have a NY handgun permit before taking possession of the guns. They will likely have to go to a NY FFL first due to NY's laws.
Should he be in NYC, he will need a rifle/shotgun permit first for long guns.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: Transferring estate firearms to son in New York.
You can make it a lot more simple by following two steps.
Step 1. Have son move to PA (A "free" state -at least compared to New Yuck.)
Step 2. Hand son your firearms...Your done.
