used to work in Butler in 1982 any old freinds
lived there 2 years. and worked at Murphys Mart across from the va hospital.
just wondering if any of the old gang is still around.In God We Trust............................

Back around 2001 or so, most of the Butler Mall (Murphy's Mart and Montgomery Ward) was torn down and rebuilt. The whole area from North Duffy Road to Hindman Road is now a shopping center. Did you work with Dave Brothers at Murphy's? He wound up buying a custard stand along 422 in Mt. Chestnut, turned it into a 50's theme diner, then "classed it up" to an "eating room". Unfortunately, Dave passed away in August 2011. If you haven't been back here since 1982, you'd be surprised at the changes (good and bad).
