Good advice for rifle photography or for making porn films.

This tempts me to get an 1860 Henry.

I have to agree with shrewd here. The rail is so NOT lever action.

Oh sure, gang up on me now. Would it be better if it were wooden
    It's practical, not tactical...
And thankfully it shoots as good as it looks

LOL! Lever lovers are like revolver lovers. By and large, they are very traditional kind of guys...

Yeah, I knew I was gonna take some abuse for that. Especially after Mr. Shrewd expressed his disdain in person. Well it's not like I put a laser on it... I just want to facilitate throwing a scope on there if needed. For most shooting I prefer irons though. And I promise not to put an angled fore grip or cup holder on it. The last thing I need is a bunch of cowboys kicking my ass.

I have to confess that when I was doing my research I did run across some outrageous levers that I liked such as the Kilimanjaro at a base price of $10k (plus extras). Next time I go on safari I'm gonna see if SPAG will rent me one

    why thank ya ma'am

you are without shame mike....without shame..

also, random factoid, i've heard some ppl say that 45colt doesn't burn hot enough or whatever, so the brass doesn't often expand quickly enough to seal the chamber, resulting in some blowback or what not.

...just another excuse to get a .44 mag instead? i think so.

Buy two, or a lever and a single action in a matching caliber!

obviously you buy the two in a matching caliber (44, naturally)

then, AFTER you've bought an m1 garand and a 7.62x39 bolt gun and your short list is looking a little toooooo short, grab another lever gun in, say, 30-30 or 45-70?

    and stay classy
