    Default 5/8-28 adapter for AAC?

    I'm looking for a 51T 5/8-28 (yes, 28, not 24) adapter for my AAC 762 SDN-6. I google searched but didn't find anything.

Doesn't look like AAC sells it.

You could call them and ask for sure, but their customer service isn't stellar and the chances of them answering the phone are low. I love their products, dislike the CS.

I've heard of muzzle devices being bored and rethreaded before. I'd ask a local machinist if they can convert a 1/2"-28 51T mount to your specs.

Yeah, one of my best friends that I've been helping allot with his turbo rustang is a machinist. I just don't know what would be the best avenue of approach, a heli-coil maybe? Maybe a collar or threaded sleeve fastened with rock-set inside?

5/8" is 1/8" of an inch bigger than 1/2". I don't believe the threads are 1/8" deep, so I wouldn't think you would need to do anything other than chuck it up in a lathe and rethread. Ask your machinist friend for sure, he'd likely know. Don't forget to clearance the inside and exit of the FH/comp to make sure the larger bullet will pass.

Yeah, after you replied I realized that you said 1/2-28, not 5/8-24. Yeah, we could probably hog it out a bit to make it work, then ream it to .284" for my 260.
