    Default newer Rugers quality

I currently fire a MKl ruger and am looking at a newer pistol. Is it my imagination or has the quality dropped. The one I want (22/45) feels a lot less quality than my old one. Please tell me the 22/45 I have ordered will satisfy me over the years.
    Thanks
    Chuck

If anything, newer better materialls are being used compared to older model weapons. Remember, they still have one of the best, if not the best, return, fix, or replace policies of any maker of anything. I love my Ruger's and to me, they are my go to guns! Love um!

People got all worked when they went with "plastic" on the classical 10/22. Fact is glass filled polymer is more durable and accurate over the long run.

How are their Mini 14s? I saw on galleryofguns.com aka Davidson's that their new tactical models have 16" heavy barrels. Anyone get their hands on one of these? How is the accuracy out to 100 yards?

I have the traditional ranch rifle (new model). I can hit a can with the iron sites from 100 yards out. To answer your question, I would stay away from my model mini-14 if your looking for an accurate shooter in the area of 150 to 200 yards (that perspective is just from the reviews I've read)...perhaps a heavy barrel is a game changer? Needless to say, it is one of my favorite rifles and I have a couple which are 4 times as much.

I'd like to buy a new Mini 14 (composite stock, heavy barrel, etc.), but for $700+ I can build a pretty nice AR-15. I really like the garand action, and I know how reliable it is, but I know AR-15 parts and accessories are going to be around for a long time.

I've had a few good close looks internally at my sr9c and cant find any poor quality anywhere. Metal parts took a polish nicely and the composite is clearly up to the task.

I was a bit concerned about the design of the rear guide (plastic formed around metal tab) and after a good thousand rounds it's like the day I bought it. A+

I have a MK III and a .22/45. Both shoot great. I had a MK I that I got in 1972 that I had shot out and have put in the safe. I have never had a bad Ruger, they all shoot good.

I think the .22/45 is probably the flagship .22 pistol of them all.

As far as Ruger quality, I have 1600 rounds through my SR9c and not a problem. It may even be getting nicer to shoot...?!
