Freddy_g, thanks for the link to the thread dealing with sweat damage to gun finishes. I never in a million years expected that such terrible finish-damage could occur so quickly in a wet environment. Cripes. I have a cheepie suede holster, too.
You gave me a lot to think about as I consider the finish for my new acquisition.

Re: KelTec P-3AT..Blued, Parkerized or Hard Chromed
Ha Ha I thought the same thing, I carry a P3at w/Belt Clip that rides between my pants and my bare skin, I wipe it down when I get home and that's about it. Never had any problem with rust and that's going on 3 years now.
Maybe the holster is getting soaked with sweat and with no air circulating around the gun, it's just rust city. Kel-Tecs aren't known for their blued finishes in the first place, but a little TLC and it should last.

Re: KelTec P-3AT..Blued, Parkerized or Hard Chromed
my pf9 is blued and i have a cheapo IWB holster and there is no signs of any rust at all,my friend has a parkerized pf9 with a belt clip and clips it right to his belt between his belly and his paints, no holster at all and his gun is 3 or 4 years old with no rust,so i think it's all in your sweat! i wanted a parkerized pf9 but i got a good deal on my blued one.
