Ill be busy for a little while
I just got a box of once fired lake city 5.56 brass so I need to prep it all. first batch is cleaned I just need to pull it out size/deprime, then I can clean them and decrimp all the primer holes on the RCBS prep station I picked up today. looks like ill be busy for a little while.

How much did the prep station run you? I have seen only one store locally that carries them, Woodlands World in Uniontown. They are a "higher end" kinda store. I think they are asking about $100. Just wondering if they are charging more than other places or if its a good buy?

I paid 100 for mine but I got extra cutters and stuff with it. I picked it up from a local shop, he had got it to use in his shop and only ended up using it twice.

Re: Ill be busy for a little while
I'm in the same boat and I hate prepping 223 brass. I think tumbling is the worst its such a PITA getting all the media out of the small neck 22 cases. Can you remove the crimp from the primer pockets with the RCBS prep station? Thats the other part I really hate I've been doing it by hand

Re: Ill be busy for a little while
Im in NJ right now for the weekend for a show, but so far I have about 3/4 of it cleaned, 1/2 of it sized/deprimed, and 250 rounds trimed to length, decrimped and debured ready to go, if I wouldnt have had to come here for the weekend I would probably have most of it done.

Re: Ill be busy for a little while
How well does the station remove the crimp? I am trying to decide the best way to remove the crimp from 06 brass that I have.

Re: Ill be busy for a little while
it works great, the primers go right in after I use the trimmer.
