    Default DA/SA pistols, recommendations?

I'm looking to trade in my Kimber Tac. Pro II for another 45. While the 1911 is a sexy pistol, I find i just like SA/DA pistols. The Kimber is a safe queen, I'm looking for something I'll shoot and use.

I like SIG's quite a bit, and am looking at the P220 carry.

Any recommendations about other DA/SA pistols that are worth looking at? A USP, PX4?

I like the older 3rd generation S&W's and Beretta's myself.

456 - Me too. I think you have already answered your self. Get a Sig P220 45acp its one of the bettter such guns. If capacity means sometning I'd look at the PX4 or Cougar 11 or 10 shots. Then you have the Glock 14 shot and M&P 12 shot and XDm 15 shots with one down the pipe.

I wish I was close enough to buy your Kimber, I'm not as choicey as you are.

CZ75 is my favorite. However I own an SAO version as I despise DA/SA.

I'll look around at S&W's and Cougar's. Thanks for the input guys!

The trouble with the P220 carry seems to be finding a shop that has one.

Just go with the sig. Does the p220 carry have the E2 grip? If so definitely go with that. I have the p229 with the E2 grip and I love it.

Picture a 229 chambered in 45 acp. Thats basically what the 220 carry is.

I like sig pistols, but I thought maybe it'd be time to branch out.

Yea when I was handgun shopping I was originally going to go with the p220. But the grip felt a little too wide for me whereas the E2 grip of the p229 felt much better.
