What all is out there?
You got the Ruger sr-22 which is sold out damn near everywhere
The walther p22
Sigs got one that's a lil expensive.
And the smith and Wesson m&p22 which is currently on top of my list.
Anyone have any feedback on any?

Re: 22lr semi autopistols
The best two old standbys. Ruger Mark 2 or Mark 3 and the Browning Buckmark. Always in stock. Always reliable and accurate. The Walther P22 can't hold a candle to either of these.
I own a P22, Buckmark, and a Mark 2. While I prefer the Buckmark over all 3 the Walther might as well be junk. It's an ok gun but not near the gun the other 2 are. I run my Buckmark suppressd with a reflex sight and the Ruger is integrally suppressed. I think the Buckmark is more accurate then the Ruger but the reflex sight is a big help. I can pick off shotgun shells all day long at 25 yards with it.Last edited by DucatiRon; May 14th, 2012 at 09:35 PM.

Re: 22lr semi autopistols
I second the Browning Buckmark. Mine has over 3,000 rounds down the pipe and runs flawlessly. Two of my buddies have shot mine at the range and within a few weeks went out and purchased one for themselves. I know the Ruger Mark I, II, and III's have a great following too but for me, Browning all the way.

Re: 22lr semi autopistols
I'm thinking about purchasing a Buckmark Hunter to put a red dot on. Now I just need to find a dealer in my area. Does anybody have any experience with Geiser's in Sunbury, PA? They show up as a dealer on Brownings site. I might go and check them out next weekend.

Re: 22lr semi autopistols
If you want something a bit closer to a center fire, check out the GSG-1911 .22.
S&W is also now marketing an M&P .22 which is similar, but not a replica, of their centerfire M&P's.
I REALLY like the GSG's. They are about the same size and weight of a real 1911 and function the same.
I have not seen the S&W yet in person.

There is a whole shelf full - top shelf - of super accurate match pistols that haven't been mentioned.
We have S&W's old standby, the model 41, and the European guns: Hammerli's SP20, Feinwerkbau's magnificent AW93, two Walthers - the GSP and the SSP (I lust for this gun.)
