Default protecting outside property and vehicles?

i understand that if someone enters your home/apartment, you have the right to protect yourself and whomever lives with you from intruders.
does this extend to outside property?
does this extend to vehicles that are parked outside of the home that are on the property?

for example, if i see someone breaking into one of my cars, or god forbid, try to get one of them on a flatbed, are there laws or precedents or cases that state you may or may not open fire?

I don't think you're allowed to shoot to prevent a robbery unless you feel threatened. Especially if the robber is unarmed. IANAL, but as far as I know, the rules are pretty much the same everywhere...don't shoot unless you feel your life is in danger.

I think the only exception, and again, IANAL, but the new laws passed last year gives you the ability to shoot an intruder inside your home, since the very fact that somebody broke into your home is a threat. But...proceed with caution in light of recent Florida events.

Are you up-to-date on your payments? It could just be Valorious.

In the defense of your property you are legally allowed to use force. You are not legally allowed to use deadly force.

It's a friggin car. Call Allstate. Sleep well.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

The very first question you should always ask yourself when you think of scenarios like this is "Am I in fear of my life or great bodily harm?" If that answer is NO then you may not use deadly force.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I was correct, though, about the new laws.....where, if you wake up to find an intruder standing in your house, that in itself is threat enough to use deadly force, according to law, right?

Although I assume you would want to give him a second to run away first before pulling the trigger, to make sure you were being threatened.

You must feel like your life is in danger or somebody's life is in danger or in jeopardy of serious bodily harm. The way they say it is that a reasonable person would have to fear serious bodily harm or death berfore you can use lethal force.

this is where things get confusing. I am not sure of the PA constitution, but I know the one we have in delaware says that we can own guns to protect our lives, property and hunting or something to the effect. If that is the law then that means if someone is trying to steal your car you can pop them. I am not saying you should. That is what insurance is for, but.
I offer discounts on freeze dried foods, knives and other prepping products.
