Topton is nice i used to be a member there, i just did my safety orientation at Guthsville on Monday (finally after them dicking me around for months). Cant wait to get my card and go.

Isn't topton the only gun club in the area that has metal targets ?

Well when i was a member there which i was for about 10+ years they had bowling pins medal targets etc, towards the end they took the bowling pins out and the medal targets because people would shoot them with rifles etc, i dont know what they have anymore, i have not been there in quite a while ill have to drive up sometime and check it out again.

Did anyone hear of a new owner fixing up and reopening the Shimerville range? I think LVOC posted an update on their FB page.
Might be good news for those in the LV that used to shoot there.

Yes I see that now on their Facebook page. Looks like some company named Higher Ground Tactical has bought it. They're looking for some manual help also with range time as compensation. This is great news as I live 5 minutes from there. Thanks for the post Bill.

I just heard that a friend of mine has been helping with the renovation. I didn't talk to him directly, but apparently there is a lot of mold damage that needs taken care of.

I (and many others) have been helping the new owner rebuild the range with an anticipated opening in May.

The new company is Higher Ground Tactical.
