WWII M9A1 value?
Not sure where to put this question.
Anyone know what the value would be on a WWII M9A1? Saw one in a collectibles/antique shop today, although not sure on when it was mad and was with a lot of other WWII era stuff. They were asking $700 for it, if I remember correctly. Can't find any prices online.
Also saw a metal detector (mine detector?) kit there as well. Had the box and all. Didn't look at as I figured it was well out of my price range but I saw some online minus the box, that weren't sold for very much. Curious on price of that too.

I thought the M9 was adopted in 1985 or thereabouts....

Re: WWII M9A1 value?
Indeed! A photo would have helped immensely, had it been visible. But, it wasn't. No biggie, thanks for the clarification.
Now with that resolved, the two items I found were one for sale here, here and another (old post) here. No prices on either, but I gather it's a destructive device (DD) since I saw a reference to de-mil. Consider posting in a NFA/DD board and see what they have.
Lacking any data from google, it might come down to what you're willing to pay for a piece of stovepipe.Gloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"

Re: WWII M9A1 value?
weird that you can't see the photo...it works fine on my end and all I did was use the img tags on the forum and it's photo that is out on the web.
I wouldn't pay $700 for it...even if it's worth that much, while cool, it's not something I would spend that much money on.
