What ever happened to these? They were supposed to be the new wonder guns. Yeah, I know there were some problems with some of the ones that showed up. But I'm still interested and it seems like they fell off the face of the earth.

I haven't either. They're all over gunbroker, though, and many of the reviews appear to be rather favorable.

No foundation in anything but a guess, but with a pistol stamped "Made in UAE" (United Arab Emirates), perhaps this is a turn off to some buyers for various reasons, even if the pistol is very good/designed by good engineers, etc...

I'm over in that part of the world right now, actually flew through Abu Dhabi, UAE on my way here. Believe me, the locals don't do any of the work. They hire foreign nationals to do all their labor for them. Even though the Caracal is made in UAE, I would highly doubt any locals were on the assembly line.

Let me tell you, the Caracal reps at SHOT Show looked nothing like that! I would've talked to them longer if the wife wasn't with me.
