Drop in barrels for Glock
I am thinking of getting a drop in barrel for my glock 32 in .40 S&W. I am wondering what brands are the best. I don't know much about brands but figgure lone wolf to be the cheapest and bar-sto to be about the best. I am trying to be price concience and am thinking that storm lake might be the best. I don't plan on competition shooting just want to switch callibers to ease up on operating costs. Any imput would be appreciated.

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
When I had my G23 I put in a Lone Wolf Distributors 9mm barrel that was accurate and reliable. I recently put the same brand (but threaded) barrel in my G17C and it has been great. Neither have been high round count barrels, but have caused me zero problems.....

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
I have the factory Glock .40 caliber barrel for my G32. I haven't used any of the others you mentioned.

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
I added a drop in barrel for a 9mm I own. Same caliber. Longer barrel.
Gun drilled the same hole it did before with the factory barrel. Albeit slightly higher at the same distance due to the velocity change.
It was a LWD barrel. No issues.

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
I have a LoneWolf for my G22 and am quite pleased. I did have a few feed problems early on but I attribute that to the wadcutters dragging on the feed ramp that wasn't completely broken in.
Also, I had origionally planned to buy a replacement from Glock but found the lonewolf to be almost $20 cheaper.

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
If you want a high quality barrel, Bar Sto or Storm Lake are the way to go. I put a threaded Bar Sto in my G19 and a threaded Storm Lake in my 1911 for suppressor use and both work great, more accurate than the original too.
Both were recommended to me by guys that bought the lone wolf first, then up graded for various reasons to the more expensive barrel later.

Re: Drop in barrels for Glock
I have a G31 its chambered for 357 sig....too expensive to practice with. I went and bought a Wolf 9mm barrell for it to practice with 9mm ...a lot cheaper. That barrell is sooo friggin accurate! 99.00 dollars!....
