    Default Chadds Ford Armoury

Has anyone done business with a guy by the name of Dave Force running Chadds Ford Armoury? He says he only takes cash which made me kinda curious, but he has a rifle I've been eyeballing for a good price. Anyone done business with him?

Dave was a good friend of mine and extremely legitimate, dependable and knowledgeable, plus he's got a very interesting selection.

I just learned today that Dave Force from Chadds Ford Armoury had died a while back and that his home is for sale.

Dave had a far-ranging selection of firearms, and was dependable and honest...he'll be missed surely.

    Sad to hear.
Dave was old when I knew him back in his Action Arms days, about 30 years ago.

Action Arms was owned by Dave's uncle and cousin.
I didn't know him until 1994, but I was friends with Bob Ardle and he used to talk about Dave and Action Arms.
I met Dave at the Allentown 'Forks Of The Delaware' gun show where he had a few tables...so did Bob Ardle.
I bought several things from Dave and Bob.
I was at Dave's home in Chadds Ford several times, we went for dinner, and I built him a computer a few years ago.
    I'm sorry that I didn't know he'd passed away...I'll miss him.

I could be wrong, but when I used to go down to Action Arms in the late 80s-early 90s, it was owned and run by Harry Stern, and I'm pretty sure he started the outfit. The chief designer was Evan Whildin, who later worked for Colt, and who also used to set up at Allentown.

According to Dave Force and Bob Ardle, whoever the owner was, it was Dave's uncle.
Other's were with Bob when he went there and knew the same thing to be true...
