    Default A Beretta question?

Hi Guys, I am getting a good deal on a Beretta Centurian which i like a lot, but i would like to know if the Centurian uses the same magazines and grips as a regular FS92.

So far the info i got on line says that the Centurian uses a 13 rd. mag but will accept a 15 rd. mag, kind of not clear to me .

Thanks for any info you might have.

    Copy paste from Beretta forum

"The 92 Compact has a shortened slide and a shortened grip. The standard capacity magazine is 13 rounds.

The 92 Centurion has the Compact slide on a FULL size frame. The standard capacity magazine is 15 rounds."
    ''92FS Compact is 7.8" o'all length, 5.3" high and 1.5" wide, 32.0 oz. w/empty mag.

92FS Centurion is like the Compact, but with full length 92FS grip and about 1.8 oz. more empty weight.''
didn't have much time to look further.
    Hope it helps

Hey Thanks a lot Bugman, it seems that the Centurian will accept the same mags and grips of the regular 92,

    THanks again.

13rd mag are 96 caliber guns using LE mags 40 cal, usually they are 11 rds mags.

15 rd mags are 92 9mm which does fit Centurions and 92fs in 9mm. The 9mm mags are now offered in form fitting 17 rd made by Mecgar.

The 92 Compact uses 13 round mags, as seen here on Budsgunshop. I think this is what he's asking about.

Yeah, the Gun i am getting is the Centurian, not the compact, Bugman cleared it up nicely, i asked the dealer to snap one of his 92FS mags in and the Mag fit perfectly he said.

    Thanks a lot Guys.

Yeah , i'm picking it up this SAturday, this particular Centurian has some history to it, the dealer that i'm buying it from, some years ago his shop was broken into and this was one of the guns that were stolen, last week NYPD sent him a package in the original evidence bag with the gun in in the bag (without the magazine, New York Cops like to keep the mags when they confiscate Guns)

The Gun is in great shape, 90's production so it has all metal parts, a "D" hammer and trijicon night sights that still bright as day, he is letting me have it for $350.
I am glad that the 92FS mags work because i have a Ton of them for my 92fs.
