Palmetto state armory is running all kinds of specials right now and free shipping.
But, they are super slow at shipping depending on what you need.
One last thing, I just built up 4 ar's using Bushmaster LPK's and the were the crappiest, grittiest and most horrible triggers I've felt in a long time.
I don't know if they are rushing to make kits, but I'm not buying another Bushy kit until the scare winds down.

Re: my first first ar and i'm building it
Just to touch on the LRB lower, I actually have one and it is a nice quality lower. The finish is great and matches perfectly with PSA (and most other) uppers. I built my AR with a PSA LPK and everything went in nice and smooth, the ONLY minor issue I ran into with the lower was the handgrip block on the lower seemed slightly thicker than other lowers...this just caused a very tight fit when installing the grip. I was able to work it on without filing the inside of the grip any (using a MOE grip). Other than that everything was great with it!

Re: my first first ar and i'm building it
well I finally got it built. It was very easy to do,of coarse I cheated somewhat. I bought the stripped lower from wideners for 82bucks but I bought a 20" rifle kit and a a2 sight/carry handle from psa.
Procedure:
laid everything out on a light color bath towel.got pictures of every part printed and in front of me. an hour and a half later I was putting the 2 half's together.
Took it out last week-end, just put 30 rounds through it to see how it shoots. it does shoot and stayed on paper right out of the box, with only 30 rounds through it not much more to say right now. I have to get some more time.
For my next one, listen to me, shot my new one once and already thinking about another. but no kit this time.
I'm actually going to see how mil-spec these things are. I'm going to take the m3 receiver off this one and replace it with an a2 receiver, I'll use the m3 for a carbine.
OR
maybe I'll just build a carbine with an a2 receiver and scope the rifle. I now know what ya'll ment buy it's a disease.
thanks for all your input everyone.
here's a couple pics. basic rifleLast edited by 51158; December 8th, 2012 at 10:45 AM.
