    Default LTCF Lycoming County

Just thought I'd let the members know that I applied for and got my LTCF. It took about two days and was not painful. I was treated with courtesy and my only delay was going thru Courthouse Security who also acted in a polite and professional manner.

Lyco has always been decent to me. Never had any problems.

I had a similar experience when I got my LTCF in 05.

Were you carrying when you entered the courthouse?

Recently turned down by lycoming county. They were polite, guess not turned down by local but by state. My wife was approved. Off to lawyers office to file appeal.

    What reason did they provide?

Lucky111, you be better be a felon or other prohibited person. I'm getting sick of these arbitrary revocations and denials...

Note: The comment about being a prohibited person is meant to reflect the only legitimate reason for a LTCF denial. Pretty much anything else is outside the realm of what a sheriff can legally use as a basis for denial. And I'm hoping the latter isn't a continuing trend...
Safety is a good tool for tyrants; no one can be against safety.

I owned a restaurant and tavern and about twenty years ago we had a poker machine like all the bars in the state but I was arrested for it. I was prosecuted and ended up with a M1 charge. (There is a lot more involved in this as to why I was the only person in Lycoming county to end up with a Gambling charge over a poker machine) I was turned down Friday and just finish with lawyer today starting appeal.

Well, good luck to you. But if you were convicted of this, probably not much you can do to overturn it.

I don't want to get into this too much right now, but, this is a payback from a DA that didn't know how to act. Lycoming county has some strange political creatures. One ex DA-special prosecuter-Federal has recently. made a little gambling news of his own.

Ah, yes...good ole Tommy. I used to live near him. My dad graduated with him. Very, very familiar.

    Nuff said.
