Default Questions on two LC smiths

I have two lc's that my Dad had for years and I was trying to get some information on them and hoped that someone on here could help. They are all matching numbers, both 12 guage, one has a 30inch barrel and the other is 27 1/4. Serial numbers are 97609 on the 27 barrel and 45617 on the 30 inch barrel. Both guns have an o beneath the serial number. I'm going to try to put some pictures on here to maybe help. I appreciate any information that you could give me. I can email more pictures if anyone wants them.

    Thanks, Randy

My only advise is to NOT take them apart unless you are familiar with the internals. Although I was quite a bit younger and less experienced, it didn't work out well for me.

    Amen to that!
I just reassembled a customers L.C. Smith (made in 1903). He took it apart and it came into the shop in a bag.

I had to used the milling machine to index the top snap into the trigger plate-
