    Question traveling to Delaware Tomorrow

Hi all, I need to go to Newark Del. tomorrow 5/1/12. I have a PA. LTCF, can I take my weapon locked and loaded in my car for the trip. I won't be carrying it, will be in a funeral home. Thanks for Your Help.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Delaware honor's PA's LTCF. Take a look at: States that honor Pennsylvania’s LTCF

Delaware does not recognize the PA LTCF. However Delaware is an open carry state and you can carry it loaded in your car as long as it's in plain view, like on the passenger seat or dashboard.

Thanks for posting this info, I assumed (I know, I shouldn't assume anything) that open carry in Delaware would be similar to Pa. I will look around on the site you posted, but do you know anything about open carry on a Motorcycle in Delaware? How would you do this? It always drives me crazy that when I ride around the Brandywine Battlefield area I have to be cognizant of where Pa turns into Delaware. Knowing how to open carry on a Motorcycle would be useful.

My GUESS would be anyway that keeps the gun visible since, unlike PA, you can open carry in a vehicle in Delaware without a license as long as it's in plain sight.

Best bet would be to ask around on the site I linked, they would know best.

In case anyone else has the same question I did, there is a thread here addressing it.

My GUESS seems to have been spot on, keep it visible, no problems.

If you read this brochure, it says that you can lock your firearm in an inaccessible place in your car such as the trunk.
