Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

Nope.. no joy yet.. just did the initial cleaning, loaded it up and wore it non-stop for the last two days. My initial impression of the carry aspect, is that its not even noticeable. I forgot I even had a gun on earlier today. I have to say its the most comfortable carry gun yet.

I may try to get to the range tomorrow or at the latest next week.

Got it at Ace. Its the 9mm. I am not sure I would want it in .40 S&W. That would be a handful in a gun that light. My glock 27 weighs a lot more. and its a handful in .40 S&W.

Duke's Sport shop up in New Castle is selling them for 419.00. As for size comparison, when I first got mine I held it next to the Taurus 709 slim and it's exactly the same size and width. I will tell you this....having owned a Slim, the Shield is far above the Taurus as far as fit, finish and function go. Especially reliability and accuracy....IMO. This is an up close and personal kinda gun. 5 to 7 yard self defense. It shines as a back-up.I still carry my Sig 239 or my HK 45c but I will have the Shield in a Belly Band or IWB or on my ankle.

I agree completely that its a great backup gun, but in its defense, it also has enough size and with the extended magazine, its plenty big enough to fight with as a primary carry also. Either way, its agreat choice.
