Default SMITH AND WESSON MODEL 19 BILL JORDAN COMMERATIVE HELP

I puschased an interesting model 19 yesterday. It is engraved with a portrait of bill jordan and has "1 of 1000" on the reciever. On the barrel it has usmc Border partol and NRA engraved in gold lettering. It comes in a wood presentation box with the eagle globe and anchor, USBP logo and NRA logo engraved into the top. I've done some research on it and I can't find any info on it. I'm stumped. I found the gun listed in the "Guide to Smith and Wesson" book and when I called Smith the told me the gun was made in Nov of 1988. The serial number dosent seem to be special. It's BBM84**. Any info on this piece would be helpful.

Standard Catalog Smith & Wesson, www.books.google.com . Bill Jordan Commemorative 4" Blue, Laser Etched w/image of Bill Jordan and his signature,
"USMC", "BORDER PATROL", "NRA", Note 3 Screw(side plate)
That is all I have at the moment, hope it helps.

It is a fake and obviously dangerously defective. Send it to me for disposal. I'm so concerned for your safety that I'll even pay shipping charges.

456 - If that is one of Bill Jordans S&W 19s that should be a interesting conversation piece thats worth BIG MONEY to the right buyer. I would have thought that BJs 19 would have been a working model not a commenitory version. Who knows? Is it one of the original and it made into a trophy Gun? Or is a S&W 19 made into a memorial piece of Bill Jordan, Like those 44 mag DWA are for JohnWayne.

it's not a golden egg, if that's what you're looking to hear.
it's just like any other model19, just has some extra laser engraving on it.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

It dosen't seem like any other model 19 i've seen. It has a presentation box and I didn't think the other model 19s came with a presentation box but I'm not an expert. The gun does seem like a plain 19 but it's got some nice engraving on and it comes with the bill jordan pachmyers. I plan on keeping it and I was just curious if anyone else has one and what the approximate value would be.
