What is smallest sig model that fits 226 mags?

I want to get whatever model Sig is the most compact model that will fit 228/229/226 mags...i think. (I'll research it first, of course)

What model best fits this description?

Up until last month, I would have thought it was the 229. I have both a 226 and 229 in 9mm and the 226 mags work fine in the 229.

However, I just read about the SIG 224 in last months round of gun mags ( I get a bunch and can't recall which one it was). The magazine said the 224 was a chopped down 229 and would use 229 mags. It would stand to reason that if you can use a 226 mag in a 229 and a 229 mag in a 224, then you should be able to use a 226 mag in a 224.

I would say get a 228. Any smaller and you have a gun which basically has a 228/229/226 grip but shorter slide. The balance of the 228 is arguably the best balanced pistol sig has ever made. Just sayin.

@Zet: I already have a P228, hence me wanting a P224 (and that is the right model number- thanks TGS for the info) to go along with it, so i can make use of all my 228 mags.

I'm probably going to sell my custom P7 and get a P224 instead. And i think i'm going to sell my Ruger LCP and get a DB9 too.
