Default glock 29 pearce +2 extension question

So I picked up a Glock 29 today. I also bought 2 pearce grip extensions +2. Now I look on their website and realize they are for the full sized glock mags. Anyhow. There is no hole in the bottom. Inside the glock mag is a small plate with the post that sticks out the hole on the normal floorplate. Since there is no hole in the extension do I remove this plate? Anyone ran in to this before?

Just checked the mag that I bought off of a member here and the small footplate is inside and used. I have not function checked them yet because I unwrapped them 10 minutes ago but all looks good here. Hope that helps.

my 17 and 26 both have holes, does the bottom of your mag have the glock logo on it (did you pick it up used)?

He's talking about the mag extension not the factory floor plate. And no the extension does not have a hole in the bottom.

those damn little nubs on the side of the mag should keep the base on. that,s providing the plus two bases have a notch to receive them.

I said in my first post mine does have it in there. I assume it helps keep the spring centered in the extension better because of its smaller size.

It's definately not adding spring tension or keeping the extension on.

My other +2 extensions for my G29 have a hole in the bottom and use the plate. Must just be a Pierce thing. I also run G20 and 29 mags in mine all with a +2 extension.

Make sure you test the feed function of those +2 extensions

The only FTF I've had with my 23 was when I had the extensions on the mags. They're sitting on the shelf.

So these didnt work for me. I put them together with the stock springplate in and since there is no hole for the stud it takes up enough room to make them only +1. Without the plate in there the magazine follower goes down into the extension and sticks on the bottom of the mag after the second shot and there is no spring pressure to lift the 3rd bullet at all.
I wish someone had been filming the look on my face when the third FTFeed and I removed the mag and turned it and the bullets all fell out 1 or 2 at a time.
Either way they are way to large (making the gun almost the same size as my p229) to make them worth using just to add 1 rd. Maybe when I get a couple of g20 mags Ill try it with those since the spring will be longer and hopefully keep the follower from going down so far.

Why not use the 15 rnd G20 mag with one of these?

    http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=15&CAT=24

Those extensions just ain't worth the time or trouble. I've never had a feed problem with a G22 (15 rnd) mag in my G23 (10 rnd).

You haven't said if you're going for more 'grip' or capacity. Either way, the G20 mag will do both.
