Re: VOTED!!!!
Sounds like a great election day.
My only question is..... did you show ID to vote?
Per the Governor's new release on March 14, 2012, it isn't required for today.
And from VotesPA's site...Requested, but not required.

Re: VOTED!!!!
Voted this morning while OC. Was number 37, so turnout is light at my poll. There was only one of the usual 3 little old ladies at the table, but they still said, "good morning Mr. PRRFan. May we see your picture ID please?" I had my DL ready, they looked at it, said thank you, and I voted. They know me because I have OC'ed in the last 6 elections, so showing them ID meant nothing to me. I now wish I would have showed my LTCF to see if they would have accepted it - my understanding is they are supposed to.....
All in all, very normal, I was the only one in the poll area other than the workers. As I walked out, a constable was getting out of his car, I said good morning to him, got in my car and left.Everyone has the right to be an asshole....unfortunately some people abuse that right.

Re: VOTED!!!!
From the act, a firearm "permit" appears to be acceptable:
[(a.1) Where the elector does not have a photo identification as provided for in subsection (a), the elector shall present for examination one of the following forms of identification that shows the name and address of the elector:
(1) nonphoto identification issued by the Commonwealth, or any agency thereof;
(2) nonphoto identification issued by the United States Government, or agency thereof;
(3) a firearm permit;
(4) a current utility bill;
(5) a current bank statement;
(6) a paycheck;
(7) a government check.
The election officer shall examine the identification presented by the elector and sign an affidavit stating that this has been done.]

Re: VOTED!!!!
We voted this morning. The local paper predicted that turnout was going to be very light. Again.
The do this every year, perhaps to discourage people form voting. HMMMM.
The man in front of me was very vocal about the new law requiring I.D. The poll worker knew him so he said that proved his point that I.D. should not be required. When it was my turn, I asked the poll worker in a not so quiet voice if she knew me. She said no, she did not know who I was. I then said that it proved my point that I.D. is needed. The previous loudmouth was not amused.
We had to stop to drop some things off at the local thrift shop. Parked next to us was a car covered with Ron Paul stickers. He must of had a dozen of them. On the side of his car was a sticker that said "Dumb and dumber" with pictures of Bush and Obama.
Loved It!
