I guess they give some time for kids to sober up after the obvious milestone

If the 'local rule' still exists, it's not really resolved.

Absolutely agree. 0% resolve, and shame on you op for being "kind" to these criminals in your sherrifs office. I cant believe you were able to keep your cool after someone lied to you and broke the law in the name of violating your sons rights to serve them as they see fit.

Can anyone fill me in on this 14 days thing? I thought they would at least take the application and process it after the date they wanted, they would not do that. Shotgunner

RE: Illegal practices regarding LTCF applications

    Dear sir,

It has recently come to my attention that those applying for a LTCF in Tioga county are being told that they must wait until 14 days after their 21st birthday to apply for the LTCF. As we all know the law clearly states that citizens are eligible at age 21.

Your office's actions are in direct contradiction to the following PA statute:
    http://reference.pafoa.org/statutes/...6109/licenses/
    http://www.legis.state.pa.us/WU01/LI...1.009.000..HTM

As a concerned citizen I urge you to rectify this matter as swiftly as possible.

    Regards,
