Gander Mountain
Anyone ever trade in or sell a firearm to gander mountain? There firearms are normally marked up high that they are selling so I can imagine they try to buy used pretty cheap to make a profit.

Re: Gander Mountain
They are a rip off, both buying and selling. Never sell your guns to them.

Don't waste your time.
If you need fast cash put it on here for a resonable price.
If you don't need cash fast, ask some local shops about consigning it.

Re: Gander Mountain
I like a lot of stuff at Gander, I even bought a used Savage that was in mint condition and the price wasn't to bad. Every thing else has been WAY to high. Used S&W 5906 (lots of wear on it) $500+, get out of town!!!! Support your LGS!

Re: Gander Mountain
Gander Mountain is ridiculous with their ammo prices!!! A box of 100 rounds of Winchester 45 ACP in the white box at WalMart is 36.00. Gander Mountain, for the same box is 65.00.

Re: Gander Mountain
I agree with most as far as being a rip off, but one in a rare while they have a good deals.
I paid 350 for a never fired glock 20c and 750 for a never fired immaculate condition RRA LAR15

Re: Gander Mountain
Other than the rare sale, I have yet to see a good price on any kind of handgun, and I go up weekly. Either they are at the current market price, or above it. Their prices on Glocks are ridiculous; I can get a new one cheaper than some of their used ones.
A few of their prices on rifles are fine, but handguns are almost certainly a rip-off. Knowing how they operate, I doubt that they give any reasonable amount for trade-ins.

Re: Gander Mountain
Gander mountain prices are generally comparable to or more expensive than cabelas.
Plus, wasn't there just a thread about a .380 round going off from being dropped there? That's no reason to not shop there - but not the kind of publicity most shops are looking for.
I could be thinking of the wrong place geographically but isn't insite firearms fairly close to there? I was much more impressed with their pricing."More is lost through indecision than wrong decision"
