    Default Finally received my letter of approval - Philadelphia LTCF

    I just wanted to post for people who are wondering about current processing times for Philly LTCF.

    2/16/2012 - Dropped off paperwork and paid
    4/18/2012 - Received approval letter in mail (regular priority mail; not certified)

    Congrats, but 62 days is unacceptable.

    A license to carry a firearm shall be for the purpose of carrying a firearm concealed on or about one's person or in a vehicle and shall be issued if, after an investigation not to exceed 45 days,
    Doesn't say business days...

    So the letter is the Philly license? Letter To Carry Firearm?? Can you now defend yourself in public?

    Not sure what's going on here. Isn't this some type of preemption violation?

    Mine took 15 minutes...

    When my letter wasn't delivered by the 45th day I went down there and told them that I had been 45 days and i had still nit recieved my letter and i am here to pick up my license . She said okay let me check on that.. 20 min later I was leaving with my LTCF.

    EMT-B's story sounds familiar. I went down with .45 Kimber and the same thing happened, verbatim. "Today is day 45, so where's his license?" and twenty minutes later, he had it in his hand.

    Conveniently, they told him "the approval was going to be mailed to him today"...yeah, okay.

    I didn't get my letter until about 30 days later
