AR Pistol to SBR How?
i have a complete Ar pistol 7.5" barrel
What steeps would i have to do so i can put a stock on it?
would it just be easier if i bought a stripped lower for this as i hear it needs to be engraved and held at a class 3 dealer till the papers clear.
thanks

Re: AR Pistol to SBR How?
You would have to complete and submit an ATF Form 1 to manufacture a short barrelled rifle. Once the form is approved it must have it engraved properly and then turn it into the desired SBR configuration.
There's no reason for anyone to hold it because until it is approved it's not an NFA item, and when it is it's legally registered to you.
Just don't put the short barrel and the stock on until everything is squared away.Dan P, Founder & President, Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association
