Which Speedloader do you carry?
REVOLVER SHOOTERS: Help me out. Which brand/type speedloaders do you carry? I am looking into expanding my line of speedloader holders, and want to know whats popular and whats not.
Both my revolvers (S&W 637-2 and Taurus 650 .357) have the HKS 36-A as their ammo carrier.Last edited by RogerRCKH; April 15th, 2012 at 01:00 PM.

Re: Which Speedloader do you carry?
I very much prefer the Safariland Comp I for carry.
You just hold the body and push straight in, no knob to turn to release cartridges.

Re: Which Speedloader do you carry?
When I carried a revolver, I ended up using a speed strip instead. So the only thing I can add is the following:
You'll like this video if you haven't seen it yet. Michael deBethencourt goes over 5 different speed loaders and their pros/cons:

Re: Which Speedloader do you carry?
I just purchased 4 speed strips, and one Safariland Comp holder from midway.... I like the idea of the speed strips.
Definately going to see some new kydex love for the Speedloader/Speed strip people.

Re: Which Speedloader do you carry?
The strips are more convenient for carry, and they work when your grips preclude a speedloader. They are trickier to index though. I try to practice reloading without looking at the weapon (with snap caps of course). With strips it's easier to lose a round on the floor.

Re: Which Speedloader do you carry?
I'm not a big fan of the Safariland speed loaders. I could never get them to release the rounds quickly when I needed them to. It may have been operator error. I don't know.
I ended up going back to the HKS. I think with enough practice, they're just as fast as the Safariland. YMMV.
