Steel Plate pistol match

Mifflin County Sportsmen's Association will once again be hosting steel plate pistol matches. The matches will be held on the third Sunday of each month. Registration starts at Noon the match begins at 1:00 PM.

Matches will be 4 stages. Each stage will consist of 5 plates. You will shoot each stage 5 times. Your best 4 times will be kept for score. (100 round minimum round count.) Note: We may run a second run if there's enough interest. This allows people to shoot a second gun, or just get more trigger time with their first gun. If you'd be interested in this, be sure to bring enough ammo. I recommend 150 rounds per round/gun.

We run multiple classes, based on gun types. We have classes for autos, revolvers, iron sights or optic, .22's and centerfire guns. Basically, if you have a pistol you want to use, we most likely have a class for you to compete.

New for this month, we're going to try a 2 gun .22 action match after the regular plate match.

Action .22 2 Gun Shoot bring a .22 Rifle and pistol to the Steel Plate Shoot. We are going to set up one scenario in our New 100 yard Range to try for free on Sunday after the Steel Plate Shoot. Every one can shoot it, you will need 20 rounds of .22s. Hope to see everyone at the Steel Plate Shoot. The Action .22 Gun Shoot is a lot of fun. So come on out and give it a try.
