Default OC in Dicks... Kicked Out

So today I was taking my Cousin to the shooting range... (first time he ever shot) So i stopped by Dicks sporting goods near Franklin Mills Mall. I always go here and never had a problem. So im standing in line to buy the ammo when a Man named Ronnie comes over:

Ronnie: What kind of Gun is that?

    ME: .45 Beretta

    Ronnie: You Law Enforcement?

    ME: Nope

Ronnie: You need to leave now!

ME: Ok, there goes a $200 sale you just lost.. and im writing a letter to corporate because i did not see any signs and im sure they will not be pleased with this.. Ill never shop here again! (walking out) lol

So now that I've said all this.. does anybody know about Dicks Policy. I was not prepared for that because i never had a problem there before.. I get ammo there all the time. Thanks

Although I have not cite or other source, Ihave been under the impression that Dick's, like Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops, does not have a policy against firearms.

Please let us know what Dick's has to say about this.

Why didn't you ask for a manager or to see their corporate policy?

I believe he was the assistant manager and I did not want to cause a problem and have the police show up.

I'm no lawyer but... My non-legal advice would be to contact management of that store and then their corporate headquarters for an official statement on the matter from both parties. If either of them does indicate that they do not permit firearms in their business please, politely, let them know they're going to lose quite a bit of business when you share that information. If corporate does allow firearms make a point to deliver that information to the management of the particular store you were thrown out of.
