Default thinking about going to the dark (glock) side. what do i need to know?

so i was thinking about selling my kahr cw9 and picking up a walther pps

my roommate has the PPS and its such a sweet pistol and it fits great in my hand.

i've never really been a glock fan. one of the first pistols i shot was a glock and i disliked the grip angle and never wanted to touch one again. that was over a year ago and i've shot almost every weekend since.

a few weeks ago i had some private instruction with jeff bloovman (who i'd recommend for anyone) and he let me shoot his glock a bit. man, it felt really good. i especially dug the xs big dot sight and that trigger. so, amazingly to me, a compact 9mil glock is on my radar. i'm guessing the G26.

Is there anything I need to know about the glock? It will be IWB carry around 4 oclock. I hear some glocks have issues with the slide rails in the frame breaking off?

I'll be at glock day at SPAG tomorrow at some point to try a few out.

    what say you?

Just a couple things you need to know:

    1. You will shoot yourself in the leg.
    2. How to use a trauma kit.
    3. How to dial 911.

Seriously though, I don't have a Glock, so I can't do anything else but help to perpetuate a stereotype.

You'll shoot yourself in the leg kid.

Buy plenty of ammo and mags and shoot the shit out of it, that's about it.

I use to be the same way, hated glocks til one day I said I'm gonna see what its all about. I bought a used 23, and I liked it alot but I traded it in on a super Blackhawk44 lol. But i just went out yesterday and bought a brand new 23. I love carrying it Idk how glock did it but in a inside the waste band holster I dont even kno its there. It goes bang every time, and ya there aint a saftey but it'll be in a holster with the trigger covered....and a gun is ad safe ad the person handling it. I'd suggest one to anyone. Just my 2 cents

All you need to know about the Glock 26 is go for it. What an outstanding package! The only thing I didn't like was the sights. Not that they weren't accurate, but I like these a whole lot better:

I have these on my 27 and let me tell you, Perfection improved .

No lead bullets (due to polygonal rifling). Other than that you'll be good to go.
