Default Another successful defensive gun use

You can get further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

Sounds perfect to me. Good results via the gun without the hassles of a dead guy in your house. Yay homeowner!

Wow, kudos to the Homeowner, but how long should you really wait for compliance before you squeeze?

Nothing against people with tattoos, but really?

This guy would pretty much scare me if he busted in my door, he might get ONE warning to leave, anything after that would end badly for him.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Who knows for sure, but if the guy was visibly drunk, seemingly unarmed, AND I was alone (family not around), I THINK I could hold off until the last second.

If the family was home, I'd probably err on the side of him being dead.

I wish I knew where in Springettsbury this was, it's a pretty good-size area. If I pull out of my driveway and go just 6 houses down the street I will be entering Springettsbury Township.

And this is a pretty good example of why I carry at home. And, unlike our hero in the story, our cars and doors are always locked unless we are in the yard somewhere.

Growing up and living in the Baltimore Metro area made that an easy habit to get into.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

No two scenarios are ever going to be the same.

But If the person entering my home did not have a weapon in hand, stopped immediately at the sight of my myself with my firearm and made no sudden moves he could stand there until the police arrived.
