Very nice. How old are the firearms?

The first one was from 1978, the second was from 1972. The exteriors were what was bad looking. The bores and the cylinders were in almost perfect condition.

Wow. Very nice. Duracoat I presume?

So this is why you've been hunting old Rugers.

rwb1500, Actually it's Cerakote. I just happened to get those at a very good price so I couldn't pass them up. Typically I don't want to have to do that to the guns I buy, It detracts from the collector value. Ruger collectors each have their own niches, some only collect Old Model SA's, some only collect Ruger #1 rifles, some, the Ruger .22 autos. I happen to like the Ruger Security Six series DA's so that is what I look for. Although, if I run across a collectible single action for a good price, I'll buy it as trading material.

lhowland.40, Yes and no it's DIY, I run a gun repair and refurbishment business (part time for now) so I'm set up to do Cerakoting. I just happen to prefer CeraKote over Duracoat.

The engine-turning on the trigger and hammer is a classy touch. Nice work.

There is something about jeweling and old guns that just seems to go together. Reminds me of the stuff you used to see from the 20' and 30's during the art deco period. Always liked it with a nice black contrast or mother of pearl.
