    Default firestorm 45 govt????

Ok so I'm gonna try to make a long story short......a few months ago my buddy owed me 150 bucks and he ended up giving me a eaa windicator a blued6 shot 357 snub nose. So after the transfer I got 165 in the revolver. Its currently my edc, but before that I carried a para ltc1911 and I since traded it and have wanted a 1911 ever since. Well my uncle has a firestorm 45 govt 2 tone (I know its not a true 1911) but he wants to trade even up for that 357 so I'd technically have 180 in the firestorm. So I basically want to know if the internals, grip saftey, thumb saftey are interchangeable with regular1911 parts and if they're reliable? It appears to have a stainless steel frame can anyone verify that? Are firestorm frames any good? Would lets say a caspian slide fit on it? Thanks for any input!

If it's a Firestorm/American Classic II 1911, then it is a true 1911, and the parts will swap out like any other 1911. Is it Government or Commander sized?

It's probably a real 1911. Take a look here and see if it's what you have:

Mine aint any of them 4 but I dont think its a real 1911 because it does not have grip screw bushings and it looks like the placement of the holes is wrong

Sounds like it is an older .45 made by Llama. Not a true 1911 as far as parts interchangeability and reliability goes.
The Firestorm name was acquired by Metro Arms in the last couple years.
