    Default New M&P 9 "Shield"

I have an M&P .45 that has never let me down. I will take a close look at one of these when I have the funds.

I hope that's not a full size grip on an ultra-compact frame. I'm generally not a fan of the "reverse CCO" design.

Doesn't look like it-- also, the magazine has an extension. I'd imagine the regular mags shorten the grip considerably.

C'mon Glock. Where's my single stack 9mm? Smith and Springfield are all over this shit.

I'm really interested to see this in stores and to be able to handle one in person. I wonder if it'll be the same price as the M&P9/40 full and compact (all four seem to be the same price everywhere), or if it'll be cheaper. I also wonder if there will be an M&P40 Shield...

Don't need to wait for Glock, Walther PPS fits the bill. Before Smith & SA too. Just a little bigger than the other pocket 9s, very soft recoil, quality product.

    Worth a look.

If I can get one without a manual safety I will bite. Otherwise I'm still set on a Kahr.

Looks good but it is not as thin as the Walther PPS. The PPS is still likely the best small 9mm around.

That manual safety will be a deal breaker for me, but this is definitely something I want if they have a version without the safety.

I'm with you, I won't buy if they offer only with manual safety but I'm hopeful it will be an option like other M&Ps.

I'll wait to see its dimensions and how it performs before buying since I'm very satisfied with my Kahr single stack.
