Spikes backorder ?

I ordered a spikes complete lower with color fill. Friday will be 3 weeks. Anyone know how long the backorders usually take? I guess I'm just getting antsy.

I would get antsy as well. I'm sure it can't hurt to send them an email or just call and ask. Did they give you any indication when you ordered?

They said it could be up to 6 weeks. I'm just not sure if thats 6 weeks till they get it in then have to color fill or what.

Never had anything go to back order with them,but with other companies the 6 week thing is usually when it gets shipped out.

I ordered a zombie lower with color fill and just got it about 3 weeks ago. It took about 2 months. The color was perfect and exceeded my expectations. Spikes is low but definatly worth the wait in my oponion

Thats good to hear that you are happy with the quality. I dont mind waiting because I got what I want. But it feels more like 3 years not 3 weeks!

The estimated lead time on your lower build is 6-10 weeks from the dateof the order. Once it is ready to ship, you will receive an email withthe UPS tracking information so that you know it is on it's way. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Thank you,

Seems like a good time to start assembling your own lowers.

This is really something that you could do on your own I suspect and this would have cut your wait time down considerably IMO.

I've seen on the Spike's forums that the wait time is about the same for stripped lowers as well. The alternative is to buy a stripped lower from aimsurplus. I asked around for them at the Bloomsburg show the weekend before last and was met with some very negative responses from dealers. I'm not sure if there is exaggeration going on here but more than one dealer told me that Spike's won't do business with them anymore since cutting the contract with aimsurplus. I wound up picking up a PSA lower instead.
