    Default ruger done for the year?

    was at the gun shop today for a transfer and the owner told me they got word that ruger is not shipping anymore guns for the year. whatever is in the pipeline is all you will see. they are so backed up they need until the end of the year to catch up. anyone else here this?

    I'll let ya know in 2 weeks or so. I'm going up there for a Manufacturing tour the week after next.

    Ruger is not taking any new orders, the orders they have they will fill.

    They absolutely *will* be shipping more guns this year.

    They made an anouncement a few eeks ago that they were not taking NEW ORDERS until (at least) May in order to catch up. I have not seen any further official announcements.

    Maybe it's the aftermath of their 1 Million gun NRA promotion. They beat the goal, now they have to make good on the orders. They did manage to make a shitload of the new 10/22 TD before stopping though. It seem only logical they'll be back in a month or two.

    As a few others have stated, they aren't done shipping, THEY HAVE STOPPED TAKING ORDERS FROM DISTRIBUTORS. They have 1 million plus firearms on order. They have added new production lines.

    Manufacturers in various fields stop taking new orders to "catch up".

    That's all ruger is doing. You will still see their products on dealer shelves same as today.
