Thread: GLOCK ISSUE

    Default GLOCK ISSUE

I noticed the slide on my Glock 31 wobbling a little the other day. I didn't think much of it at the time. I thought it might be from normal wear and tear. When I field stripped the gun for cleaning I saw the rear left ear that the slide rides on had broken off and was no wear to be found. Doing some research I found this to be an issue with Glock.

Yup, it happens. Send it back to Glock. Doesn't help that it's a .357 sig gun. The snappy power of that round is relentless. I know it's pricey but you could always "upgrade" : http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.a...75401&CAT=3168

You could also get the bare frame for $200.00 and switch over the internals.

I have heard this is more common with the ,357 sig and .40 S&W rounds but that is just internet information so take it for what it's worth.

I would go with Chemicals first thought and that's to send it back to Glock for fixing.

I've seen members on forums post up the same issue on their Glocks. IIRC Glock repaired them under warranty.

I'd be happy to shoot it for you...
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Yup, send it to Glock. You'll end up with a new frame.

How many rounds did you send through her before that happened?

Ouch, that stinks but i'm sure Glock will take care of you.

That's one of the reasons why I like the M&P design a little better than Glock, if something like that happens with an M&P, the rails are part of front/rear sub-assemblies and can easily be replaced versus scrapping the whole frame.

The pistol kept running despite the broken rail?
