Kbliz, thanks so much for the tip. I was first one through the door at 9am and snagged it. On my way home with it now, posting from my phone.

So you drove from Lancaster to Horsham to buy a gun? That's dedication.

And if you did, then I hate you as I was going to stop by there today.

I should have gone last night... fml

I think there are features that make the SR1911 as good as, and maybe better than my SA Loaded. All but one: Ruger is not available with left-hander thumb safety. And I'm not of a mind to take a new $700 gun to an armorer to get an after-market LH safety installed. So I'll stick with my SA for now. It seems logical that eventually Ruger will offer it, then it will definitely be worth another look.

    Yes.

THe price was fair so I went for it. I probably wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for the fact that I could do it without paying for gas and tolls. If I had to pay gas and tolls it wouldn't have been worth it to me as the cost would have gone up about $75.

And if you did, then I hate you as I was going to stop by there today.
Sorry man........ I left the house by 0700 and was in their lot at 0840 and in the door just before 0900. After I bought it I took a ride over to Feasterville and checked out Surplus City so it was a gunshop morning for me

    Oh and here she is:

I KNEW I should have gone last night. Aww poop. The good part is I still have a line on one, which was the reason for this thread in the first place. Just waiting on that phone call... if it ever comes. (And that is a secret I am not giving away. I will give up the information after I bought it, or if the price is too high)

If not then I give up on the Ruger and start looking elsewhere.

Sigarms, I'm so glad someone from pafoa snagged the Ruger. Why do you have to be so far...how am I going to do the quality control for you?

Seriously, in 6 months or so when I'm ready to look seriously, keep a lookout for me in case they're still hard to find.

LOL, that's why I left the house at 0700 before she was ever up....

I had already left one prior to your posting this. The system will only allow me to leave 1.
