Registration 8:30-9:30AM
MANDATORY safety briefing 9:45AM
Shooting starts at 10:00AM
$10 per shooter

Guns needed:
Center fire semi auto pistol or revolvers, no magnum cartridges
Center fire semi auto magazine fed rifle, no larger than .308
Pump or semi auto shotgun

Ammo:
Up to 100 rounds Pistol
Up to 100 rounds Rifle
Up to 25 rounds Shotgun, no larger than 7 shot.

4 stages. No slings. No major/minor. Scoring is time plus. A - 0 sec added. B - 0 sec added. C - 1 sec added. D - 3 sec added. Miss - 5 sec added. No shoot hit - 10 sec added.

Round count in magazines is limited to what the stage calls for.

Chamber flags are required for all long guns when not in use on the course. They sell them at the club for $2.50 a piece if you do not own any.

I've never competed in a match like this before, but this year I now have the firearms to do so.

I do have a few questions.......

Any general advice for the new guy?

What does "no major/minor" mean?

Any special considerations for lugging my stuff around (range bag vs backpack?)

Appreciate any answers, and I look forward to participating!

1. Advice- slow down , have fun and don't worry about the timer for your first couple matches. (get your hits)

2. major/minor- refers power factor ( bullet weight x speed / 1000)

3. logistics- Hburg is nice because the pits are close . I use a jogging stroller but some people make there own carts.

If you have any other questions just let me know. This is a good match for new people, most everyone including the staff or more than willing to help everyone out.

The best i have every done was 2nd or 3rd but usually in the top 15 . I like to use this to test new stuff or practice for USPSA , I am shooting more 3gun this year so I am trying to take this a little more serous this year. top 10 or bust !!!!!

anybody know if this is going to be a "head shot only" competition or do center mass body shots knock down monsters and Aliens too?? :-)

I just asked the boss. Most likely single shots to center mass, but this is subject to change. Expect a round count to be posted on April 20 in the late afternoon. Stay tuned.
