Re: WV reciprocity
I'm also traveling to WV soon. Anyone know what their law is on duty to inform police? I didn't see that mentioned in the pdf.

Re: WV reciprocity
The best advice is to contact the attorney general and ask!
let them know you will be traveling to or thru the State and with a current LTCF from which state you have and want to know such and such question, they will help you know 100% right or wrong.

Re: WV reciprocity
WV has no duty to inform.
Their off-limits places are very similar to ours with a couple exceptions.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: WV reciprocity
Went there a couple times last year to visit the wife's mom in 2 different hospitals, both were posted at the door so if you are going to a hospital lock it up in the car.
There's some wierd thing about the public parking area at the state cap being part of the capitol grounds or something, that is the only wierd thing I can recall to be careful on.Porsche, there is no substitute

There is no duty to inform in WV.
There are couple municipalities around Charleston that have grandfathered clauses against carrying. I can't think if the names right now, but post at WVCDL.org and someone will.
The grounds of the state capitol in Charleston are also restricted, that includes (as far as we can gather) the sidewalks, parking lot(s) and any open space or building that is part of the Capitol Complex.
The city of Martinsburg also prohibits carrying on city owned property. I don't have, or know of a list of properties, nor, as far as I know, are they marked.
There are of course the federally prohibited places. Any gun owner who knows they need to ask about state laws should already know the federal ones, so I won't go into that list.
Welcome to WV, enjoy your stay, and spend lots of money to keep our economy strong!A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
