Shooting is, as it has always been, the fabric of America!

I think you would have to have the absolute perfect bad guy encounter for it to work. For instance:

    1) Only one bad guy.
    2) He doesn't have a gun.
    3) You are a good shot.
    4) The bad guy waits for you to reload two rounds since you missed with the first two.
    5) $500.

I'm going to carry a 24/7 G2 compact for less than $400 and have 14 rounds of nasty HP's on tap.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Did he actually say "Tactical Reload" while referring to a derringer?

    WTF?

Just on that asinine statement alone I'd back slowly away from that company...

    Seriously, what is the point?
Maybe if this had come out before the current crop of pocket pistols, but I see absolutely no reason to carry a two round pistol of that size when there are better options.

For $250 it would be a neat little novelty gun or bug - for $500, no way.

Doesn't look like the gun for me, the "tactical reload" thing got me cracking up though

You'd back away, but i'm sure there's no shortage of people that would say, "Tactical reload? That sounds so cool, I'll take two."

Not something I'd be interested in, but I'm sure there's a decent market for it as far as derringers go.

My dad has a .22 mag derringer more like the old classic looking ones though. He keeps it in a self made hollowed out hard cover copy of The Dead Zone by Steven King. It's neat and cool to shoot but unless your bringing it to a knife fight I'd leave it at home.

Just like any two shot pistol, unless you are a great shot or get that close encounter without getting KO'ed, you'd better take a knife to a knife fight.

Everything is "tactical" nowdays. Wait for the version with a rail.

Its nice and thin but I'll stick with my LCP.
