    Default Chiappa conversion kits

Maybe a dumb question but I have seen several other brands that have this availability so here goes.

Is there a conversion kit for the Chiappa 11-22? What i mean is change caliber on the gun to 9mm, 380 or even .45?

My only question would be: would the pot-metal alloy frame of the 1911-22 hold up to the increased power of a 9mm or .45?

I don't want to be the one to find out.

    Probably not.

Even regular 1911's need heat treated still at minimum at specific points for the .45acp.

I would never try a conversion kit on a .22RF specific receiver. I need my fingers for work.

Ha..........I did not even know that these were pot metal. No wonder why everybody and their brother is unloading those.

    thanks for answering that question.

The Chiappa "1911-22" is NOT even remotely a 1911. There can't be any conversions for it because the barrel is an integral part of the receiver. Lemme find the review with pics ...
