Default Springfield Ultra Compact 1911 3in

    Hey all,

I just purchased a springfield ultra compact 3in 1911. I cannot however find much information on the internet about it, does anyone have any links or know anything about it? I have the parkarized version, i have seen some stainless that is a different model.

Call their customer service number. You will get a real person and they are really helpful. Give then the serial number and they can tell you all about your pistol.

It's a nice carry piece. I had a problem with mine feeding hollow points, but had my gunsmith (father-in-law) polish the feed ramp. No problems after that.
I had him add an Ed Brown extended beaver tail, an Ed Brown extended safety, and new sear and trigger parts. I have been thinking about doing a concealed carry smoothing on it and maybe a Cerakote paint job.

The only weird thing that I noticed with it, is if you have a certain grip the case from the last round wacks you in the forehead!

    Enjoy!
