New England (HR) Pardner Pump
Is this still an American company, and are the shotguns made in the US? Saw a good deal on them somewhere but I don't know a lot about the name. Any insight would be appreciated.

These are $219 at a local Dick's. What did your research show about reliability and fit/finish, etc.....
Thanks.I don't watch shark week. Sharks watch FLICK week.

They are a clone of the Remington 870 but has a steel receiver instead of aluminum. Parts are interchangeable with the 870 except for the barrel.
Although I do not own this shotgun I do have an 870 and have read nothing but good reviews of this shotgun.

If I didn't already have a $290.00 870 propped up in a corner of the safe, I'd be buying one of these instead.

Re: New England (HR) Pardner Pump
I have owned one for more than 5 years and it runs like a top.. The receiver is steel as previously mentioned. It has been nothing but reliable and I have shot almost every kind of ammo I can think of through it (including non-lethal bean bags) the only problem I can see it the actions bars are very fragile and if they get bent then it will be hard for the gun to keep shells in itself without popping them backout while cycling.
Here is a pic of mine with a KNOXX NR Spec-ops Stock.. I have added a side-saddle and other "toys" since this.
