18 Pa.C.S. § 6115 Question/ clarification

My wife and I shoot every week. Since receiving my LTCF we have been stopping for grub on the return trip. A friend of mine recently purchased his first firearm. He will be applying for his LTCF soon.

My question is if he meets us at the range to shoot. May I be loaned his firearm into my possession either carrying or transporting in my car while he meets us at the food establishment?

I understand he cannot take possession back at said establishment, but may return his firearm to him at his home, if I read 18 Pa.C.S. § 6115 and 18 Pa.C.S. § 6106 correctly.

Yes provided you have sole dominion and control while in your possession. Either locked in trunk of your car, carried on your person, in a locked box that only you have key, etc.

As you said best to return the firearm when you get to his house.
