Default ? For the shotgun reloaders

Ok so I just got done shooting my first 3 rounds of Trap in 20 years or so. Shot some Sporting Clays in the mean time but not Trap. I think I'm getting the bug again.

So my main question is what are you guys paying per box to reload 12gauge. I know my rifle and pistol reloads to the penny per round. I need to know if it's going to be effective to reload what I might shoot.

    And thanks as always.

It's not so effective for 12 and 20 ga. rounds because you can buy them for about the same as you can reload, Less than $5.00 a box. I save when I reload for 16 ga, 28 ga, and .410, $8 to $10 a box. But I reload them all because I like to. I like to load a 12ga 7/8 at 1000 and can do that when I reload.

Shot is the biggest variable but currently it cost me $ 4.265 to load 1 oz loads with the cheapest components .But then again I like to reload .

    Ducati,

Yes, you can buy darn cheap 12 ga. at Walmart, etc. When I reloaded I aimed for light light loads in order to keep from having the crap kicked out of me the more I shot. (My all time high was 12 boxes of 25 in one afternoon)

Economy is not the only reason to reload.

Thanks for the replies all. Well for as much shooting as I'm going to do its just not worth it for me. I already reload for over 10 rifle/pistol calibers and don't need to spend that much time for that little savings considering I need the equipment an all. But thanks again.
